|Flybe Carrying More Passengers to More Destinations
UK based budget airline Flybe recently announced another surge in its passenger numbers. Figures, released earlier this month, show that they carried 30% more passengers in the last 12 months than in the previous reporting period. The airline's performance has continued to improve, with Managing Director Jim French noting that much of the success can be attributed to the expansion of the company's route network, with new daily departures from "Southampton, Exeter and Birmingham".
These figures will come as welcome news to Flybe passengers, with the airline also reporting that its punctuality levels for October have now reached an impressive 89%.
Flybe continues to compete with budget rivals (such as Easyjet and Ryanair) for a larger share of the European short haul market.
Meanwhile, UK holidays website Whatever the Weather has announced that it is to provide online airport parking bookings as part of its increased service.
